It isn’t one BIG thing it is a million little things. Friendship is a skill that we learn when we are young. If we are lucky, we develop long lasting friendships in our lives. It is not easy and requires empathy, honesty, compassion, mutual understanding and love. I chose to create a whimsical umbrella of hand dyed primary colored fabric. Each panel of the umbrella is hand stitched and appliqued with a personal belief about friendship.
I have been blessed with several lifelong friends. This umbrella is dedicated to those special people that I keep in my heart, who stand with me and protect me through the good times and the tough times. I hope my umbrella challenges you to think about what friendship means to you. I hope it helps you remember the people that you hold in your heart. Friendship is like an umbrella, share it!
