Statement
The curious little magpie finds shiny objects for her nest. A button, a zipper, some musical notes, she pilfers with the best. Can you spot a flower? An angel and a leaf? An old tin fife, a drawer pull, two feathers and a heart? A lucky penny, a carpenter’s rule, two paintbrushes do you see? I’ll share with you my secret: the magpie here is me! I search for lovely driftwood, find a bright seashell As my cozy nest unfolds, and reveals itself to you, It happens on my travels, I find beauty all around, |
