Statement
Through the pathway of meditation, one practices bringing the mind home. Researchers have now determined that we have between 50,000 and 70,000 thoughts a day! Planning, regretting, anticipating, ruminating, playing scenarios over and over . . . It is no wonder that meditation is taking root in our fast-paced, hectic world encouraging us to slow down, take time to contemplate, stay in the moment, and bring a peaceful, compassionate, loving, kind spirit to the world. The silk strands covering the head represent all the thoughts and feelings we experience every day. The light is reflective of our chakras becoming aligned through meditation. The lotus whose roots are in the mud blooms elegantly in perfect peace. Often, we can dwell “in the mud” too, and cultivating a meditation practice can lead to our beautiful, peaceful blooming, just as the lotus does. |
