How did I get to where I am now? The “Pathways: Dream, Discover, Explore” project gave me a chance to think about where my paths have led me.

My quilted map depicts my journeys:
• Being born, growing up, and attending college in Minnesota.
• Serving in the U.S. Army in S. Carolina, Indiana and Colorado.
• Living in homes in Colorado Springs CO, and in Hoffman Estates, Lake Villa, Richmond, and Spring Grove, IL.
• Visiting friends in Arizona, Nevada, and Michigan.
• Vacationing in Hawaii and cruising in the Bahamas.
• Driving around Colorado for two weeks, looking for land.
• Attending Quilt Shows, Bus trips, Quilt Camps
• Establishing a career with Motorola, Northrop, Abbott, ITW, Danaher, Medela, Shure, and Downie Designs in IL took me all over the country and to China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, UK, Germany, France, Japan (airport), and Switzerland.

My life has been a series of journeys strung together to get me to where I am today. I am a result of all the experiences that serve as inspirations for what I create today: places, roads taken, and sights seen.

“20 years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bow lines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain
