Statement
Have you ever had the privilege of walking a dog? Sometimes there’s tugging and pulling and barking. But mostly there’s strolling and sniffing and wagging. Lots of wagging. Through the years, there have been countless explorations and adventures with my four-legged friends. Meandering down sidewalks, through neighborhoods, into woods, along trails, beside water, over bluffs, and across fields. Frolicking, leaping and splashing as we go. I’ve had the privilege of knowing and loving many dogs in my lifetime. Each one unique and memorable and indelibly imprinted on my heart. Each one a pathway to beautiful companionship and lessons about loyalty, faith, acceptance and forgiveness. An opportunity to break open our imperfect, broken selves and remind us about unconditional love. We can never know for certain what direction our lives will take, but in my experience, life with a dog by my side undoubtably takes me on a better path. |
