Statement

After a year of introspection, I see the world represented by these banners that were torn apart, much like we were, then woven back into one unit, not quite fitting like the original, but interconnected. The hand symbols, the new and antique beads, the loose thread and tucks all had to work together to make the piece whole or one.  Four of the large circles represent human characteristics that if practiced, could become continuous, like the cycles of the seasons and may reward us with the fifth cycle of Peace.

Hope: Green Springs rebirth
Liberty : Red Summer’s resilience
Tolerance: Orange Autumn’s patience
Compassion: Blue Winter’s tranquility
Peace: The reward of our practice
