| Statement
One of my favorite fabric designers is Kaffe Fassett who is known for his use of color. I used his fabric in a crazy patch block to accent the butterfly batik on the back of the robe. The fabrics are quilted with floral motifs involving many thread color changes. The lining is a rich hot pink metallic weave I found in a warehouse some years ago in Minnesota. It seemed to stay on my shelf for just the perfect project. As I pursued this, my mind was fixed on so many changes I’ve endured at this time in my life. Just like a butterfly slipping out of its cocoon to experience life, I am reassured that there remains a hope of new colors to come.
