My inspiration came from the love of the fifties when Carmen Miranda was my hero. She was talented and very much of her time. Dreadlocks evoke another time and sensibility. The combination of both eras makes me smile with laughter. The colors are a split between the realness of dreadlocks and the plastic brightness of fruit in a hat.
