Statement
Women gather for many reasons - special occasions, common interests, commitment to a cause, fellowship, personal growth – or for no reason at all. They share life’s experiences and conversations which evoke memories that prompt each to reflect on how they came to the guiding principles and values that make them who they are. Sewing and crafting provide me with endless hours of relaxation. Belonging to groups with the common interest of fabric and fiber inspires me to create in a variety of fiber media. I also belong to the Red Hat Society formed with the purpose of finding and sharing joy in life with other women. So, I knew the only hat for me would be a red one. My garden hat is covered with red fabric yo yo’s of various sizes to create my expression of frivolity. |
