Statement
I seem to always come back to trees for inspiration for my needlework. Trees always have something to give whether it is the starkly bare branches of winter, the rough texture of the bark or the many colors and shapes of the leaves. But trees are important to us all as they produce oxygen, cool the planet and give home and refuge to birds, squirrels, frogs and butterflies. Trees are also my refuge in summer: a place to hang my hammock, read a book, and sip iced tea in peace. So for all these reasons, I made this hat and say: “Hats: Wise Women Plant Trees.” |
