My idea changed from communication to humans as energy beings as a result of a profound personal experience.  While we might think of ourselves as matter, Particle Physics has defined humans as energy beings.  If you think about it, the technologies used to produce images of the inside of our bodies (X-Ray, MRI, CT, fMRI, EKG, and EEG) use frequencies to create those images.

As a result of a concussion, neck strain, and traumatic iritis, I have recurrent symptoms, some of which are visual and perceptual. A visit to Dr. Zelinsky, a Neuro-Optometrist in Northbrook IL, resulted in immediate improvement.

Dr. Zelinsky uses the frequency of the lens color to affect the frequency of the brain where it needs stimulation. She has developed the Z-Bell test. With eyes closed and wearing colored lenses the patient is directed to touch the bell. Touching the bell was no problem for me if the lenses were blue. When the lenses were yellow my response was, “It is over here somewhere.”

This suggested a visual/auditory connection for identifying sounds in space. It also suggested that if we are energy beings, our energy field could extend beyond our skin. As an artist, I was intrigued. How could this idea be communicated?

LED lights, plexiglass, and a controller change the color of my shift. The circles represent Chakras, energy centers long recognized by Hindu and Buddhist traditions. The shift has got your attention.  Now you might want to explore questions like What we are made of? Or wonder if some day, we might be able to charge our computer batteries while walking to the train or school using our own physical energy.

Just imagine the possibilities.
