Joy, Peace, Wise Return

There is a blue heron that returns each year to our pond. Each season when I see her, I am filled with peace as if her wisdom of coming back to our environment says to me, “Take heart, all is well”.

As days pass she comes and goes, but each time I spy her I am once again awash in hope and calm.

Let us all take care of our waterways, our air and our beautiful natural habitats so that these great birds can continue to survive, thrive and inspire future generations.

The art piece is wet felted on the front. The back is a shibori dyed and felted piece of silk. The eye is glass, there is an embossed stone and some beading.
