The four television screens that make up this box are a culmination of 20 years, 14 projects, 73 artists, and 360 pieces that have traveled to 39 Exhibits in the U.S. and Canada. Books of eight of the projects have been published at blurb.com.
It has been my role to provide the parameters for each project, a meeting place where ideas can be discussed, shared and dilemmas resolved in a comfortable community of creatives who continue to build lasting friendships and create works that bring joy and wonder to our many viewers.
It is my honor to lead this group of wonderfully creative women weavers, quilters and needle artists. This virtual retrospective is a celebration of all of the participants in Women’s Journeys in Fiber over the past twenty years. It warms my heart; and I hope it will bring back fond memories of our past exhibits for our extended community of viewers as well.
