Statement

I have never put all my eggs in one basket. My interests are diverse, broad and deep. I did not settle into just one vocation. I began in Occupational Therapy to connect my two interests of crafts and medicine. Massage Therapy sprung from Occupational Therapy because I felt the amazing power of hands in healing. I also taught and sold fine craft and materials for craftspeople. My interests are diverse, always woven together in different ways.

I do knitting, kumihimo, weaving, embroidery, lacemaking, silversmithing, beading, glass and painting. I simply can’t just quit any of them; so I rotate them- first one and then another- then combining them, so I’ll never get boxed in.

Because I can’t do it all at once, I put some of the eggs out of the basket at any one time, knowing that they will come back to me again when the time is right. But I won’t give them up entirely.
