Statement
Time is something we probably think of often in our busy lives. There is never enough time. It goes too quickly or too slowly. What time is the appointment, time to get to work, time to pick the kids up, time for dinner…. things we might think about time during a single day. Then we suddenly realize how much time has passed and wonder where it went. We can measure time in many ways. There is the daily sunrise and sunset, the seasons, trends, politics, and age. The last concept is depicted in this piece with thread sketches showing the various stages of life. There are subtle facial changes as we age, even though we may not realize or acknowledge them during the process. Embrace them, as they have been earned. Are they laugh lines, character marks, or just the signs of wisdom, as only life’s experiences can bestow upon us. |
