Statement
While looking at possibilities that represent time I began by embellishing gloves and stuffing them. The decorations represent the things we use every day. I built the armature with wood. On the back I embellished with items that represent a lifetime of symbols I’ve collected that evoke my sensibilities with respect to time. The phrase that echoed in my mind was “time is of the essence”. This phrase made me realize the fragility of life, that we have to use every moment as effectively as we can, building as many beautiful things with our hands as we can. |
