My purse represents the perseverance needed in life. Much as life progresses minute by minute, day by day, year by year, my purse grew stitch by stitch, color by color, thread by thread.
It began with the happy blues of the skies and lakes of childhood, moves to the red hot intensity of adulthood and family responsibilities, and speeds into the golden years. Happily, it remains unfinished for me.
It is embellished with tokens of significant events in my life and those I love and cherish.
Like life there are interruptions and restarts with knots and bumps along the way, but it all comes together in a sturdy, colorful bag capable of holding treasures—a visual metaphor of a happy life.
