While working on my purse project, I was extremely surprised to find that the process took me to a very creative and insightful place. It allowed me to explore all the textile possibilities I could ever imagine, having only size as a boundary.

I collect and save embellishments and antique artifacts from around the world. For me, this project warranted using many of them especially the antique beaded evening bag that forms the base of my purse. The colors, textures and visual beauty evoked a sensual memory of the history of each artifact. I hope they will trigger a personal visceral experience for you.
