Statement
Surely, every aspect of our lives is affected by the rising and setting of the sun and moon—our moods, our sleep, our ability to learn, even our creativity. I chose to turn this subject into my original fiber project. Since change is also something I strive for, I undertook this project not from a point of strength, but from the aspect of learning and challenge. I had never tried machine quilting and the use of Photoshop before. I had to learn these techniques as my project came together. I hope the results show my pleasure in learning, creating, and completing the finished endeavor. I will never underestimate the value of being surrounded and stimulated by the extremely creative and diverse group of women who come together monthly to pursue our annual projects. I consider myself privileged to be a part of these ventures. |
