Problem - Create a hat to fit a head dimension of 22" that will fit in a box 14"x14", not more than 14" high. The box will have a variable height of 8" 10" 12" or 14" to accommodate a variety of solutions.

Use any textile technique or techniques.

Your hat can be functional, fashionable, or outrageous. As a wise woman, what is it that your hat will communicate?

Process & Development - Each participant will keep a journal/sketchbook paying particular attention to how you move through the creative process. Sketch, journal, sample, and photo document your steps along the way.

Each artist will write a statement to be displayed with the work.
